Kindergarten Round Up

Preparations are underway for kindergarten enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year.  Kindergarten Round Up will be held on Tuesday, February 10th.  Sessions will be offered at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m.  Information will be presented by our kindergarten staff, the school nurse, Community Education ane personnel from the School Age Care (SAC) program.  This is our chance to meet you, acquaint you with our school and turn in/complete your child's kindergarten registration.  These meetings are for parents/guardians only, no child care will be provided.  You, along with your child, will be invited back to Forest View in May.  If you have questions or concerns, please call the offcie at 651-982-8200.

Do You Want To Build A Snowman?

The Forest Lake High School Open Minds Club is hosting a snowman building event at the high school on Saturday, February 7 from 2:00-4:00 pm. For those of you who are familiar with the "Spread the Word to End the Word" campaign that we started last year, this is our attempt to continue that effort to spread awareness and to reach out to younger kids in the district. Students will facilitate activities focused on community building and sharing the message of kindness and thoughtful language at the heart of the campaign. In the end, this is certain to be a positive experience as it will bring together students from across the district and at various age levels to focus on a common purpose. In addition, it will be an excellent kick-off to Winter Wonder Week.

We are especially asking that elementary staff please share this opportunity with your students and post the link to the RSVP form on your websites for students to access. http://goo.gl/forms/WuO1vb4cpS We ask that students please RSVP byFebruary 5 so we have time to adequately staff the event and get supplies.

3rd Grade Concert!

The Forest View Elementary 3rd Grade Concert will be Tuesday, March 24th at 6:30 p.m.  Please join us for "American Pride"!

Dressing for the Weather

Please make sure your child dresses appropriately for school each day and dresses in layers for their comfort here at school.  Winter is also approaching and we do go outside as long as the temperatures do not fall below -10 degrees or -10 degrees windchill.  We also expect students to wear boots and have gloves, hats and warm coats each day when winter and the snow hits.  Please contact Ryan Soukup if your family needs help acquiring the proper winter clothing for your child.   rsoukup@flaschools.org or 651-982-8236

Update Phone Numbers and Email Addresses

If you have changed your home, cell or work telephone numbers or email address, please call the school office at 651-982-8200 as soon as possible.  It is very important that this information is current in our system.  If you have a split family, each household should have their contact information separate.
